Is Egg Pronounced Ayg? [Solved]
“egg” is actually pronounced “ayg”. Why do dictionaries claim that it has a short “e” sound? It certainly does not have the same vowel as in “pet”. In BE [and AustE for that matter] leg, egg, peg and beg have the same vowel.17 Sept 2006
